The MyPermissions Privacy Policy

The Identifiable Information That You Provide

When you register with MyPermissions. We may use it to send you a message to activate your account, to use it as your login credential, to send you notices and announcements (not spam), and to contact you when needed. If we request additional identifying information for log-in and notices purposes, we will post a notice stating the new requirement in advance.

When you use our fee-based services. We will receive your payment transaction details (such as your name, the amount paid and the date of payment), from the payment service provider that processed your payment. We will use these details to verify that you are eligible to use our fee-based services. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card information.

When you contact our Privacy Compliance Officer, or any other staff member. We will receive and process any personal information that you provide us.

The Identifiable Information That We Collect

MyPermissions is all about giving you control over permissions that you gave applications that interact with your social networks accounts. We access the social network service on your behalf. We do not have access and we do not use your social network account log-in details. We locate and retrieve your applications permissions, implement your requests to remove permissions, or remove apps altogether, help you manage and gain control over your social networks privacy settings, send you alerts about new apps that access to your personal information, provide you an ability to report the app, add it to your app trusted list, or remove it.

For these purposes we will need to read the ‘session’ (log-in) cookies that the social networks store on your device. For more information about cookies, please see the ‘Cookies’ section below.

We collect further information known as ‘Session” or ‘Traffic’. This type of data is logged on our servers and may include details such as your browsing information, session durations (and associated IP addresses), and the type of operating system in your device. We additionally collect IP addresses of users to make sure that our services are free from spam, robots and other misuse. For example, we collect the IP addresses of users who clicked the “Trust” option to indicate that a certain app is trustworthy, and of users who wrote comments on Web pages of apps that are certified or not certified by us.

We are not in the business of creating and commercializing users’ profiles. We collect this data for analytics purposes (see the Aggregated and Analytical Information section), to understand and make our service better, and to make sure that our service is reliable and safe.

We receive further information about other sites that interact with your social networks accounts, and process it in an aggregated manner. We use it to make our service better by understanding the permissions that end users provide applications and their acceptance and rejections of applications.

If you contact us to receive support (for example if you need our help to log-in your account), we will receive details about your device (such as the operating system version and device model) for support purposes.

Permissions We Ask For

If you use an Android device, we will ask for additional permissions from you to access the Internet, to automatically operate MyPermissions on device restart, to prevent the device from switching to sleep mode. We need these permissions to perform our service, including to scan apps on your behalf and to provide you real-time alerts about apps that request access to your personal information. If we need additional permissions, we will explicitly ask for them.

If you use an iPhone, you will receive a notification with a request to receive your permissions.

Currently, browsers do not offer a permissions process. If you use our ‘Cleaner’ browser add-on, we access your personal information in the way we describe in this policy.

Children’s Privacy

Children under 13 may not use MyPermissions. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect personal information about children who are under 13 years of age. Please contact our Privacy Compliance Officer at: privacy@mypermissions.com. for further information.

Sharing information with others

We do not sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information. However, we use Facebook as a platform for our marketing campaigns and therefore Facebook may have access to your information. We will share your payment transaction details with the payment services providers, to process and verify your payments. Additionally, a merger or acquisition of our company may require us to transfer your personal information to another entity, provided that the receiving entity will comply with this policy.

We obey the law and expect you to do the same. We may need to use, and if necessary share with others, your personal information to prevent fraud, misappropriation, infringements, identity theft and other illegal activities and misuse of MyPermissions; to take any action in any case of dispute, or legal proceeding between you and us, or between you and other users or third parties with respect to, or in relation with MyPermissions. We will also comply with orders and warrants issued by courts and law enforcement agencies.

Aggregated and Analytical Information

We collect a list of connected applications. We use the list solely in an aggregated and non-identifying manner, to provide, manage and improve our services, for example, to track applications’ reputation and lifetime. We do not share the lists of connected applications with others.

We use standard analytics tools of Google Analytics. The privacy practices of this tools are subject to their own privacy policy. See Google Analytics Privacy Policy at: http://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html and the MixPanel Privacy Policy at:https://mixpanel.com/privacy/. The analytics service providers use cookies to provide their service. For further information about cookies, please see the ‘Cookies’ section below.

We use anonymous, statistical or aggregated information and may share it with our partners for legitimate business purposes. It has no effect on your privacy, because there is no reasonable way to extract data from the aggregated information that can be associated with you.

Choice

We ask for minimal details and permissions to operate MyPermissions. However, you can choose not to provide us your log-in details for your social networks accounts. You can still use our service, by accessing MyPermissions.org and managing your permissions manually.

If you are an iPhone user and agreed to receive notifications from us, you can choose to stop receiving them, at all times.

Accessing your personal information

At any time you may contact our Privacy Compliance Officer at: compliance@mypermissions.com and request to access the identifiable information that we keep about you. We may need to ask you to provide us certain credentials to make sure that you are who you claim you are. If you find that the information on your account is not accurate, complete or updated, then please provide us the necessary information to correct it.

Data retention

We retain different types information for different periods, depending on the purposes for processing the information, our legitimate business purposes as well as pursuant to legal requirements under the applicable law. For example, we may need to keep the information about the payment transactions that you made for several years due to requirements of the tax authority, for accounts settling, record keeping and legal issues. We may keep aggregated non-identifiable information without limitation, and we will delete or de-identify potentially identifiable information, when we no longer need to process the information.

In any case, as long as you use MyPermissions, we will keep information about you, unless we are required by law to delete it, or if we decide to remove it at our discretion.

Transfer of data outside your territory

MyPermissions, by its nature as an online service, may store and process information in various sites throughout the globe, including in sites operated and maintained by cloud based service providers. If you are a resident in a jurisdiction where transfer of your personal information to another jurisdiction requires your consent, then you provide us your express and unambiguous consent to such transfer.

Cookies

Cookies are packets of information sent to your web browser and then sent back by the browser each time it accesses the server that sent the cookie. As explained above, we read the social networks’ cookies to provide our service to you, and the analytics tools use their own cookies to provide us their analytics services. We also use session cookies to make it easier for you to log-in, if you are a registered user.

You can manage your cookies preferences through your browser’s and smartphone’s settings. However bear in mind that disabling cookies may complicate or even prevent you from using MyPermissions.

Information Security

We keep as little information as possible, and make effort to avoid storing sensitive information. We and our hosting services implement systems, applications and procedures to secure your personal information, to minimize the risks of theft, damage, loss of information, or unauthorized access or use of information. These measures provide sound industry standard security. However, although we make efforts to protect your privacy, we cannot guarantee that MyPermissions will be immune from any wrongdoings, malfunctions, unlawful interceptions or access, or other kinds of abuse and misuse.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

From time to time, we may update this policy. If the updates have minor if any consequences, they will take effect 7 days after we post a notice in alerts, email messages and notices on the service’s homepage. Substantial changes will take 30 days following our notice. During the time until the new policy takes effect, you can choose not to accept it and uninstall MyPermissions. Continuing to use MyPermissions after the new policy takes effect means that you agree to the new policy. Note that if we need to adapt the policy to legal requirements, the new policy will become effective immediately or as required.
